Twitter bids farewell to Barack Obama
but everyone wants to know, where was Sasha?
10:40 AMTuesday night in Chicago, President Barack Obama gave his last public speech and Twitter was watching feverishly. There was a lot of raw emotion and the TL was definitely an indicator of how much a lot of people are going to miss him. It broke down into three main categories and hashtags. And, of course, the big question was: Where’s Sasha? The answer is at home, studying for a test. Sidwell Friends School is WAY wrong for not letting her get out of that one, if you ask us. If you want to read the speech in full, here you go.
In general, most people just couldn’t keep in the love, including for Michelle Obama, who is just so, so sweet.
So proud of @POTUS and all that we've accomplished together. An incredible journey filled with remarkable people. I love you Barack. -mo pic.twitter.com/TFUN3GDLyz

Let’s not forget how good my man was with kids, either.

This song will never really be the same.

Now, as for Sasha Obama, this was basically the story of the night for most people. The whole scene felt a tad incomplete, which was rather unfortunate. Also, it was tough to see Malia Obama cry without her sister there. Anyways, it was not easy to watch for many.
Errbody askin #whereissasha like she's our cousin and we gotta wait for her before granny gon bless the food. 😂 #ObamaFarewell

Not sure this is how it works, but OK.
Don't give me that "it's a school night" bs this is 1 of the most important nights of her life she can go 2 bed a little late! #WhereIsSasha

Nah, they wouldn’t do this.
Michelle: Sasha hurry up we will leave you
Sasha: *Shiiiid*

In the end, though, people just wanted to make sure that it was well-known that Barack Obama was appreciated. There was even an official way to do so on Twitter.
I haven't cried since the election. Thanks for changing that. #ThanksObama

Nearly everything he did captured some people.

Then, Drake stepped in being the absolute worst with this awful Photoshop job, which should have never, ever seen the light of day. Stay in your lane, Drizzy.
But, we saved the best for last.
You took on a role you didn't ask for and you made it your own with grace and with grit and with style and good humor. #ObamaFarewell pic.twitter.com/wV6YXWuKjl
