D.C. scene: Nationals’ championship parade in pictures

Fans came out to celebrate Washington’s historic World Series victory

The Washington Nationals celebrated their first World Series title with a championship parade in front of thousands of fans on Saturday in Washington.

In one of the greatest postseason runs in MLB history, the underdog Nationals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and Houston Astros, bringing joy to a city that had longed for this historic moment for decades.
