    Meet Elaine Welteroth if you don’t know her already. She’s a huge figure around the beauty industry. The 29-year-old can now add “history-maker” to her accolades as she has been named the editor-in-chief at Teen Vogue, a Condé Nast publication — replacing Amy Astley, the media group announced Thursday.

    Welteroth is the first African-American to hold the position and is the youngest editor-in-chief in Condé Nast’s 107 years of existence. This also marks the second time the company has named an editor-in-chief at large.

    The savvy beauty expert has been dishing out beauty advice since 2008. She was the beauty and style editor at EBONY Magazine. Welteroth later landed a gig at Glamour Magazine, where she advanced to writer and senior beauty editor.
