Hooper Perry Ellis now in business with Perry Ellis

This actually happened. Deals have been signed.

Former Kansas forward and professional old man Perry Ellis (whose name is actually Perry Ellis) is cashing in on his shtick after announcing on his Instagram Wednesday afternoon that he has partnered with the Perry Ellis clothing brand.

Perry Ellis — the brand, not the fake old man Perry Ellis — rose to prominence in the 1980s alongside other legendary brands Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. The trademark khaki pants and button-down shirts can probably still be found in your local Sears or Burlington Coat Factory, shops frequented by men of Ellis’ age.

Ellis, who (allegedly) spent four seasons with the Jayhawks from 2012-16, went undrafted in last week’s NBA draft, but committed to the Dallas Mavericks’ Summer League team shortly after.
