    Nike holds a reputation for championing athletes of all walks of life. The sneaker and apparel giant believes that “diversity creates better communities and fosters innovation and growth.”

    Now Nike has grown a bigger community. The company is the latest to release merchandise in support of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender pride. Levi’s Jeans released a number of items, as did adidas, Nike’s subsidiary Converse and many others.

    Nike’s 2016 BETRUE collection was inspired by, and represents the LGBT community’s conviction, through the pairing of two prominent symbols of pride: the rainbow flag and pink triangle.
