Mama Durant is here for Kevin Durant to the Warriors
Wanda Durant tweets support of her son’s decision to join Golden State

Almost 40 minutes after her son, Kevin Durant, announced his decision to sign with the Golden State Warriors through a post for The Players’ Tribune, Wanda Durant took to Twitter to voice her opinion of the move.
HELLO @warriors, Congrats you have a great player coming, I'm excited @KDTrey5…just excited. #NewBeginningsAreGood.

As could be expected, she sang her son’s praises and spoke of what a great player the Warriors are getting. Durant did the same thing on May 17, when she discussed raising boys to men with our own Kelley Evans.
Kevin Durant spent his first nine seasons in the league with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and explained that part of his decision to leave and join the Warriors is because he wants to improve himself on two fronts.
“The primary mandate … for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player,” Kevin Durant wrote in his post for The Players’ Tribune. “But I am also at the point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community.”
The excitement from Durant was palpable, as she posted a second tweet of her jumping up and down.
