Every day, Black athletes teach us what it means to stand tall and stay focused in the face of adversity. From tennis player Sloane Stephens and her unwavering spirit to Kansas City Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu and his enduring confidence, they show us how to learn from our experiences and look positively to the future, whether it’s in the game, our communities, our culture, or within ourselves.

We celebrate these athletes as we enter February, not to recognize Black History Month, but to celebrate Black History Always, knowing there’s always an opportunity to be great, no matter the circumstance.
