The Rebirth of Hinchliffe Stadium
Larry Doby, the first Black man to integrate the America League, was discovered at Hinchliffe Stadium in Paterson, New Jersey. The stadium, one of few Negro Leagues stadiums still standing, was recently renovated in an effort to remember the city’s past and move it forward.
