Get ready to have your appetite whet

Ayesha Curry’s book, The Seasoned Life: Food, Family, Faith, and the Joy of Eating Well, hit the scene on Sept. 20. A month has passed and her new cooking show, Ayesha’s Homemade, premiered Oct. 22, and the initial recipes hit the spot.

In the first episode of the Food Network show titled Manly Meals, Curry prepared a few dishes for her NBA superstar husband Stephen Curry, his brother Seth Curry, her cousin and a friend who joined the Curry family for a day visit.

Ayesha Curry first prepared a maple bacon popcorn snack, but the guys were looking for more food. She then prepared a white chocolate bread pudding, using leftover croissants. Next in line were cauliflower hot wings, sloppy Joe stuffed peppers, and she ended with her beer bourbon splash cocktail.

Food Network will air six episodes of the new show, which will mix cooking segments with scenes of Curry’s life as the wife of Stephen Curry and mother of their two daughters, Riley and Ryan.

America’s favorite member of the Curry household, Riley, did not grace us with her presence in the first episode, but look for her to make an appearance later.

The half-hour shows will air every Saturday at 12 p.m. EST/PST.

“Ayesha’s fun and affectionate personality along with her creativity in The Kitchen and food sensibility make her a perfect fit to join the Food Network lineup,” said Didi O’Hearn, senior vice president of programming for the Food Network and Cooking Channel. “In Ayesha’s Homemade, viewers are treated to virtual courtside seats as she shares good times and great recipes at home with family and friends.”

Ayesha Curry’s recipes can be found in her new book or on FoodNetwork.com.
