    Week 8 was full of surprises. This week yielded some lit grabs and some crazy clutch plays. Let’s get into it, shall we?

    Monday Night Football

    Ballin’ like Jordan Howard

    Chicago Bears running back Jordan Howard had an incredible night. Howard & Co. finished the contest with a 20-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings. He had 202 total yards for one touchdown. One of his most impressive plays was this 69-yard run:

    Saturday

    D.J. Moore with the footwork

    I got some questions for Maryland Terrapins wide receiver D.J. Moore … How did he catch this? While this is still one of the best catches of the year, the Terrapins lost to the Indiana Hoosiers, 42-36.

    Shaquem Griffin is amazing

    University of Central Florida linebacker Shaquem Griffin is undefeated. He had 14 tackles, 2.5 sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery in the Knights’ loss 31-24 loss to the University of Houston Cougars. Oh, did I mention that he doesn’t have a left hand? Griffin, a twin, was 4 years old when his hand was removed due to amniotic band syndrome, a congenital disorder that occurs in about one in every 1,200 births. His mother’s amniotic sac had entangled with his wrist, leaving the tissue in Griffin’s left hand soft and fingers like a glove filled with jelly at birth.

    Griffin doesn’t let that stop him from being an absolute boss on the field. He still dominates. Griffin is currently tied for sixth in the FBS in sacks.

    He also made this dope interception against the Cougars.

     

    While Houston came away with a win, Thomas continues to be an inspiration both on and off the field.

    Northwest lateral damage

    The Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats were set to defend a Hail Mary, but what they got in return was way more spectacular. Check it out.

     

    The three laterals that led to the big touchdown were pure awesomeness.

    The Bearcats took care of the Pittsburg State University Gorillas, 69-10, lifting them to 9-0 in the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association.

    Sunday

    Travis Benjamin likes them touchdowns

    San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers threw wide receiver Travis Benjamin a pass that wasn’t quite as accurate as it needed to be. But it’s what Benjamin did with the pass that makes the play. This one-handed grab in the end zone was all about focus and body control.

     

    The Chargers lost to the Denver Broncos, 27-18, but the highlights were the hot item of the night.

    Dak Prescott strikes back

    In the battle of NFC rookie quarterbacks, the Dallas Cowboys’ Dak Prescott came out on top with this game-saving play. Prescott put the team on his back and gave Cowboys fans more ammo in the never-ending roast session between the fan bases of both the Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. Prescott and his team pulled out a 29-23 overtime win.

    The next meeting between the two teams is Jan. 1, 2017.

    Derek Carr going hard

    Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr has been in some close games this season and has excelled under the pressure. With Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the line in overtime on a fourth-and-four, Carr needed the fourth down to keep the offense on the field. Raiders wide receiver Seth Roberts had other ideas in the 30-24 win:
