We had costumes, a proposal and some dynamite plays in this week’s edition of Undefeated Plays of the Week. Let’s get right into it!
Monday Night Football
What is going on?
Before the Arizona Cardinals and New York Jets faced off on Monday Night Football, an unfamiliar face showed up on the field.
https://vine.co/v/5HTwWEUDu56
Yes, that is a dinosaur. Well, actually, it’s Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson. Apparently, Peterson lost the team’s “QB bucket challenge.”
According to AZCentral.com, the bucket challenge is a Friday competition between the team’s quarterbacks and Peterson in which they see who can throw a football inside of a bucket. The loser has to wear a crazy outfit before the team’s game that week. Quarterback Carson Palmer said he took the challenge with him from his days with the Cincinnati Bengals, and that former Bengals quarterback Jon Kitna invented it.
The people need to see this game live. If the consequences are this extreme, I’m sure the competitiveness is crazy.
Please tell me you guys see Patrick Peterson warming up in the dinosaur costume ๐๐๐

Reilly? HOW?!
Nebraska Cornhuskers wide receiver Brandon Reilly made an unbelievable catch early against the Indiana Hoosiers. It looks like a glitch from a video game. Peep it!
Best Week 7 play?
That's easy.
Get @BTNTomDienhart's Best of Week 7 ยป https://t.co/HSNLjSNAPG https://t.co/uCNaWxMyZS
— Nebraska On BTN (@NebraskaOnBTN) October 16, 2016
The ball appears to go off of Hoosiers defensive back Marcelino Ball, who has to be mad about this. I’d be mad about this.
Meanwhile, Reilly was making plays and catching milestones at the same time.
Brandon Reilly over 1,000 yards receiving on his highlight catch. He does have a way for the dramatic, doesn't he?
— Brian Christopherson (@Husker247BC) October 15, 2016
That catch puts Brandon Reilly over 1,000 receiving yards for his career. Heck of a catch to reach that mark.

A proposal … and no, it’s not Odell’s
After Samford University beat Virginia Military Institute, 55-21, linebacker Deion Pierre decided to propose to his girlfriend, Jasmine Henderson. However, instead of flying in solo, Pierre enlisted the help of some of his teammates to make this a proposal to remember.
Congrats to my bro for scoring twice today @YOTB__ best of luck to you โ๐ฟโค๏ธ๏ธ pic.twitter.com/mu4AbtoEb4

Meeks shifts the momentum
The Stanford Cardinal were down 10-0 โฆ that is until Quenton Meeks was like, “Nah, this ain’t happening,” and decided to make the play of the game.
.@ShowtimeQM in two words: Game changer.
His pick six gets @StanfordFball's @OpusBank #12Best Moment! #Pac12FB pic.twitter.com/bEDexWFof1

After the game, Meeks tweeted out the highlight, saying that he was trying to emulate the great Deion Sanders.
I did my best #Primetime @DeionSanders impersonation right here! All glory to God. Just trying to change the game #Showtime https://t.co/cS4oYPcHe8

On to Sunday!
Wright skies out
Against the Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota put a little too much air on the deep ball to Kendall Wright. But that’s nothing the fleet-footed wide receiver couldn’t fix, am I Wright?
*I apologize for the pun, I’ll let the highlight do the talking.*
Hey @SportsCenter… #SCTop10 ๐ฎ https://t.co/5rXsNjkEjo
— Tennessee Titans (@Titans) October 16, 2016
What a fantastic catch by Kendall Wright for the Titans – full body extension, cradled the ball with this arm.
— Greg Wyshynski (@wyshynski) October 16, 2016
Kendall Wrightโs 8-133-1 came on just 20 snaps, per Next Gen Stats.
Tajae Sharpe played 45 snaps without a catch.
— Chris Wesseling (@ChrisWesseling) October 17, 2016
Kendall wright is so clearly superior to any other receiver the Titans have.
— Yerah Be Grand (@Cianaf) October 17, 2016
The Titans were able to hang on to beat the Browns, 28-26.
All aboard the Heyward-Bey train
The Pittsburgh Steelers struggled on offense against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, but this play by Steelers wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey:
How would you name @theDHB85's 60-Yd TD?
Let us know using #NTPHeywardBey! https://t.co/iljVE3Gx5Y
— NFL (@NFL) October 17, 2016
That truck, though.
Truck. Stick. https://t.co/1fYHCXzMHc
— Kicks Deals (@KicksDeals) October 16, 2016
Darrius Heyward-Bey strong to the hole. Trucks a Dolphins LB for a 60-yard reverse touchdown. 8-3 Steelers after two-point conversion.
— Jeremy Fowler (@JFowlerESPN) October 16, 2016
Unfortunately for the Steelers, it all went downhill after that, as the Dolphins went on to win, 30-15.
Odell buries Baltimore
With the New York Giants down three with 1:36 left in the game, quarterback Eli Manning decided to hit up his favorite target, Odell Beckham Jr. Manning threw it, like, 12 yards, and Beckham took it from there.
ELI MANNING.
ODELL BECKHAM JR.
66 yards.And the @Giants take the lead! #BALvsNYG https://t.co/UqyRMducMR
— NFL (@NFL) October 16, 2016
You could tell he was pumped after the game just by looking at his timeline alone.
https://twitter.com/OBJ_3/status/788237490486382596
You may hate the antics, but one thing is for sure: Beckham saved the game for the Giants and also saved the team from losing four games in a row.
That’s all, folks. Be sure to check back next week for Plays of the Week: The Undefeated Edition.
