Another week on the gridiron is behind us, and it’s given us another week of some awesome highlight-filled moments. From Monday through Sunday, athletes wowed us with the best plays, some long passes, a few upsets and some much-needed touchdowns.
Monday Night Football
Jones goes the distance
On Monday, quarterback Drew Brees was trying to rally his New Orleans Saints in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome when they faced the Atlanta Falcons. However, Falcons linebacker Deion Jones had other plans with this 90-yard pick-six. Atlanta went on to beat New Orleans, 45-32.
90-yard PICK-6!
The New Orleans native @bigdreams_Bo takes the pass all the way home. 😱 #ATLvsNO https://t.co/RlnY9raxFG

Not bad from the rookie out of Louisiana State University. Brees had gone 305 passes without an interception, but it all came to an end.
Falcons LB Deion Jones stood out at the Senior Bowl workouts last January. Moves like a strong safety. Speed…

College Football
Hit of the week? Or hit of the year?
On Saturday, University of Minnesota defensive end Tai’yon Devers laid the smackdown on Colorado State University quarterback Collin Hill, sending his helmet airborne. You can’t blame the quarterback for losing the ball when he couldn’t hold on to his helmet. The hit was the hardest we’ve seen, but Hill managed to stay in the game.

There are hits on the quarterback, and then there are Tai'yon Devers hits on the quarterback. O-U-C-H. https://t.co/cs5ZwE7QFv

Oh, by the way, Devers is a true freshman.
"He's only a freshman. He's definitely a talented kid." -Coach Claeys, on Tai'yon Devers.

Whoa.
Emanuel Hall goes above all
The University of Missouri was already up by 51 points in only the second quarter of play against Delaware State University, but that didn’t stop wide receiver Emanuel Hall from performing an absolutely spectacular grab.
Emanuel Hall's TD grab is the definition of GETTING MOSSED.

Ankles on ankles on ankles
Virginia Tech was already putting the beatdown on East Carolina University, so quarterback Jerod Evans did what any football player would do … break some ankles.

All the ankles.
Sunday Night Football
Peterson making plays
On Sunday, even though the Arizona Cardinals were struggling all day against the Buffalo Bills, cornerback Patrick Peterson did the best he could to keep his team in the game, making a dope grab on an interception.
How would you name this amazing @RealPeterson21 catch?

Maybe a catch of the year candidate?
Finally saw the Patrick Peterson interception. It's hard to believe that we'll see a better catch all year.

Hurricane Odell
In the long-awaited showdown between New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman, neither disappointed and it was all about the game. No beef, no brawls, but the field struggle between the two was real. Beckham had the move of the day, however, with this stiff-arm/spin combo, although his Giants fell to the Redskins, 29-27, giving Washington its first win of the season.
How would you name @OBJ_3's stiff arm play?

Odell gave Norman a mean stiff arm 😂😂

D-Randall with the rip
It’s one thing when a player catches the ball. It’s another thing when said player gets the ball ripped out of his hands by a defender like it’s nothing.
Green Bay Packers cornerback Damarious Randall did just that to Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron in the Packers’ 34-27 victory.
Example:

See how cool that was?
Anyway, that’s all for this week. Be sure to check back next week for more Plays of the Week: The Undefeated Edition.
