The Obamas host the final — and perhaps cutest — White House Halloween

Prepare for extreme cuteness and a couple of tears — we will definitely miss the Obamas

Monday marked the final White House Halloween for President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama. The first couple hosted trick-or-treaters on the front lawn of the White House on Monday afternoon. The event was part of their annual Halloween festivities.

“We hope you had a great time. On this day, at least, you don’t have to pay attention to Michelle and her healthy eating. The more candy, the later you eat the candy, the better, because I think that you being up all night with a sugar rush is exactly what your parents are looking for,” Obama said.

Child after child donned costumes from Superman to princesses, and even a few Obama impersonators, while having their bags filled with candy from the president and first lady.

The two greeted local children and those from military families, and even danced to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Obama sang a little bit of Purple Rain as one trick-or-treater was dressed as the late musical legend Prince.
