    The NBA Finals are finally over, which is a good news, bad news situation for basketball fanatics who reveled in this season’s seven-game death match between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. If you’re a Cavs fan, the championship parade through the streets of Cleveland on Wednesday is likely a once-in-a-lifetime celebration. If you’re a Warriors enthusiast, well, The Price is Right is on CBS at 11 a.m.

    The end of the NBA season also brings a hard stop to the off-court fashion show staged by players and coaches. The 30-second walk from the team bus to the locker rooms at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, and Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland suddenly felt like a catwalk. The best Finals looks were all about custom-made suits (three-piece, double-breasted and separates), perfect tailoring and punchy accessories detail. (Gold stars go out to Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving and Golden State’s Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala for at least trying something different.)

    The sudden shortage of Vines, tweets and press coverage may pull fashionistas up short, so we’ve rounded up a few of the best looks.

    Cleveland Cavalier LeBron James before Game 6: black trainers, skinny black tie, gray suit. Modern monochrome at its finest.

    Cleveland Cavalier Dahntay Jones before Game 1: This man is on some ol’ James Bond action right here. Best in class, by a mile.

    James before Game 3: flax-colored sports jacket? Check. White, spread-collar shirt? Of course. Oliver Peoples sunglasses? Yes, sir.

    Golden State’s Harrison Barnes and Iguodala before Game 2: Check out the lovely fit on Barnes’s navy double-vent jacket. Iguodala’s head-to-toe khaki ensemble is elevated to “suit” level with old-school, ’60s-era topper.

    Cleveland Cavalier J.R. Smith before Game 7: After wearing a steady pregame diet of jeans and T-shirts, the Cavs’ most emotional player brought a serious C-Suite boardroom look for the biggest game of the year.

    Cleveland’s Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson before Game 7: Love in the three-piece and Thompson in all black. Ready for business.

     

    Golden State’s Stephen Curry before Game 4: the “baby-faced assassin” in cool, baby (steel) blue.
