Steelers receiver Hines Ward played quarterback in college and was on fire
He stepped in as QB in 1995 at the University of Georgia

An absolutely wild week one of college football is behind us, but we couldn’t help but going back in time to remind you of the time when retired Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward was so much more than meets the eye during his college days at the University of Georgia.
Ward might have been an All-Pro receiver with the Steelers, but we relish that time in college when he jumped in at quarterback and set the Georgia Bowl record for passing yards.
The Steelers selected Ward in the third round of the 1998 NFL draft and he became the team’s leader in receptions.
