When your team is undefeated and you clock in a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds while scoring 13 in the first half, you’ll likely get to speak about the win.
And it helps when your sister is in the studio to dish out the first question.
On June 7, Los Angeles Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike helped her team cruise to its eighth-straight victory when the Sparks defeated the New York Liberty, 100-77. Her sister, Connecticut Sun forward Chiney Ogwumike, stood by via ESPN studios in Bristol, Connecticut, to lead the charge of the postgame interview.
The pair are the only siblings (other than the NFL’s Peyton and Eli Manning) to be drafted No. 1 overall in American professional sports.

Chiney Ogwumike mentioned that the sisters had spoken before the game.
“Nneka, you came out of the gates red-hot. Would you attribute that to our talk on the way to Staples [Center]?”
And Nneka Ogwumike gave her some credit for the win.
“My pregame thing is if Chiney doesn’t have a game, I’m always talking to her on the way [to Staples Center] … So yeah, I guess I can give you credit,” Nneka Ogwumike explained.
The Sparks credit team chemistry for their undefeated start to the season. They are one of two WNBA teams that are undefeated this season. The Sparks (9-0) and the 2015 WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx (10-0) both lead the Western Conference.
