Simone Biles winks at Shawn Johnson mid-routine

All it takes is a wink from gymnast Simone Biles to go viral — a wink intentionally meant for retired Olympic gold medalist and Season 8 Dancing With the Stars winner Shawn Johnson.

During the closing of her electric floor routine at Sunday’s P&G Gymnatics Championship, Biles found Johnson in the audience and sent the kind gesture her way.

Johnson caught the wink and took to Twitter. “Yep …. just winked at me in the middle of her floor routine made my year. #iseeyougirl hahahahah amazing,” she tweeted.

Johnson later posted a video of the routine and the wink to her Instagram.

After winning her fourth consecutive all-around title at P&G Championships, Biles was asked about the wink, and she said that, yes, it was intended for Johnson.

Johnson joined SportsCenter and shared her thoughts on Biles as well as how well she believes Biles and the rest of Team USA will compete in Rio de Janeiro.

“I was taken back by that wink,” Johnson said. “She truly has a God-given talent. She’s on a good day untouchable.”
