New Unrivaled women’s league reveals team rosters and coaching assignments

Lunar Owls and Phantom basketball clubs will each get one of the two players yet to be named

After months of rolling out the players and coaches who will participate in its inaugural season, the new Unrivaled 3-on-3 women’s basketball league announced team rosters and coaching assignments Wednesday.

Founded by WNBA players Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, Unrivaled consists of six teams with six players per team. The league was created to provide WNBA players an alternative to playing overseas during the offseason.

Although initially announced with 30 players, the league has since expanded to 36, which Collier attributed to “outperforming financial projections.” The league has publicly announced 34 players thus far.
