New golf pro Mariah Stackhouse should be on your radar

She just signed a rare endorsement deal

Mariah Stackhouse, a rising star and young African-American golfer, recently led Stanford University to the 2016 NCAA women’s golf finals, a year after leading Stanford to the 2015 championship. And now, her college days are done.

The 22-year-old has turned pro, and has been minted with her first endorsement deal with professional service company KPMG. She joins the ranks of Phil Mickelson and Stacy Lewis, the only other players the company endorses.

“It made college a really fun, but a grounding experience,” she said of immediately turning pro. “I had a goal right from the start.”
