LSU gymnast Haleigh Bryant: ‘I wanted to be a voice for the girls coming behind me’

Coaching is her next goal after a collegiate career as one of the university’s most decorated gymnasts

Gymnast Haleigh Bryant just completed her fifth and final year at LSU. After securing both an individual all-around national title and NCAA women’s gymnastics team title in 2024, Bryant returned to LSU to rally her team through another season, which ultimately ended in the national semifinal. Though LSU did not advance beyond Thursday’s meet, Bryant left her legacy at LSU as one of the most decorated and accomplished gymnasts to ever grace the program.

Bryant sat down with Andscape and ESPN commentator Ari Chambers to discuss why she returned to LSU for another year and how she has grown within the sport of gymnastics.

Arielle Chambers is a commentator for Andscape & ESPN. She’s a Raleigh-born (& won’t let you forget it) 6 ft tall former pro cheerleader who ironically made women’s basketball her identity.
