LeBron James — a team owner? A possible title down the road for the MVP
James: ‘To have my own team, that would be awesome’
It appears Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James may have some future aspirations. He sat down with ESPN’s Rachel Nichols to discuss his dream of becoming an owner of a franchise with which he could make some smooth moves, hire advisers and negotiate contract deals with players.
“I would love to be a part of a franchise, and if I’m fortunate enough financially to have my own team, that would be awesome,” James said. “Hopefully I could put a winning team together.”
Cavs fans likely are not ready to see James leave the game for any reason anytime soon, but it sounds like he may have a cool plan in his post-NBA phase.
