Since 2020, the G League Ignite has been arguably the top destination for premier NBA prospects. It has produced 10 NBA players, including top-10 picks Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green (2021), Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga (2021), New Orleans Pelicans forward Dyson Daniels (2022) and Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson (2023). But with the changes in basketball, including name, image and likeness in college, the NBA decided in March to dissolve the G League Ignite program.

In what will be G League Ignite’s final NBA draft class, the team has three potential draft picks, forwards Ron Holland, Matas Buzelis, Tyler Smith and Babacar Sane in the 2024 NBA draft Wednesday (8 p.m. ET ABC/ESPN/ESPN+). Andscape spoke with Holland, Ignite guard Pooh Jeter, G League president Shareef Abdur-Rahim about the impact of the program and how it will be remembered.
